Hiring: Area Manager Business Development | Chennai
Looking for an experienced Area Manager Business Development to drive expansion initiatives and manage strategic partnerships in the Chennai market. The role will focus on identifying real estate opportunities, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and build real estate pipeline by engaging with landlords, developers, and consultants
Conduct continuous market mapping and track competitor movements
Negotiate commercial terms, lease agreements, and timelines for store handover
Activate and onboard new channel partners
Manage lease lifecycle including renewals, transfers, and documentation (LOI to registration)
Ensure timely store openings/closures and maintain accurate reporting
Handle partner commercial issues and renegotiations as per market trends
Requirements
8+ years of experience in business development, retail expansion, or real estate
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
Knowledge of lease management and retail operations preferred
Proficiency in Excel and Power BI is an advantage
MBA (Finance/Business or related field)
