Zonal Sales Manager – Mass Retail

Zonal Sales Manager at Airtel are the interface between the strategy makers and the people executing the agenda on the ground. ZSM  is someone who absorbs a complex business situation, breaks it down to doable chunks and distributes the same among his team to execute the strategy on ground efficiently and effectively.   

An Zonal Sales Manager typically contributes towards 80 to 100 Million revenue monthly directly to company’s topline. ZSM is responsible for handling a team of 5-7 on-roll employees  & indirectly responsible for handling a manpower of 120-150 people in form of urban and rural promoters, Field Sales Executives, Pratinidhis and TLs. Each ZSM also handles 2500-3500 Retail outlets. Each ZSM territory is 10-150 km in radius. Each ZSM accounts for around 25%-30% of the business for his complete zone.

At Airtel, we also offer opportunities to Zonal Sales Managers to have exposure in other ‘Line of Businesses’ unlike our competitors who offer single product exposure. There are abundant prospects for an ZSM to explore in a single role, namely Mobility, DTH, Payment Banks and Broadband.

Responsibilities

Sales:

• To build a productive sales channel and improve on productivity Month-on-Month
• To enhance distribution spread and increase net additions
• To work on ‘One Airtel’ agenda and drive penetration of DTH and Bank Business

Service:

• Managing customers relationship for minimum churn
• To ensure customer Satisfaction by keeping a check on complaint
• To own network coverage and quality in the allocated territory.

Team Management:

• Managing team performance and motivation in a highly competitive market
• To de-average tasks & targets and distribute among team
• To have minimum attrition and maximum engagement scores
