Responsibilities

Design: Sketch designs for new buildings, offices, homes, and more
Consult with clients: Understand the client's needs and requirements
Create drawings: Create detailed drawings using CAD software
Test feasibility: Test the project's feasibility and ensure it meets construction laws
Negotiate with contractors: Work with contractors to ensure the project is built as designed
Plan outdoor spaces: Design parks, gardens, playgrounds, and more
Plan construction: Plan the location of buildings, walkways, and greenery
Review costs: Review estimated costs of construction
Select firms: Help select architectural and engineering firms to prepare plans
Inspect construction sites: Inspect and accept construction sites

Skills

Communication: Collaborate with clients, developers, project managers, and business analysts
Technical skills: Be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Creativity: Be able to create innovative designs
Project management: Have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
