Who We Are

Shaping Urban Futures (SUF) is an Urban Design practice based in Gurugram, Haryana. At SUF, we believe that design has the power to transform our cities by creating urban futures that are inclusive, sustainable, and resilient. Our work spans public realm design, urban ecology, and advocacy through storytelling, amplifying ideas that inspire communities and stakeholders. Every project aims to nurture community, strengthen climate resilience, and respond to diverse urban challenges.

If you are an architect (0-1 year of experience) excited by the possibilities of urban design and eager to contribute to meaningful change, we welcome you to join us in co-creating better cities. We value curiosity, care, and a willingness to engage deeply with people and place. Architects looking to pursue a master's in urban design will benefit greatly from this opportunity, as we nurture young minds to start working towards creating liveable, climate-resilient cities.

What You'll Do

• Work directly with the founder on live projects in public realm design, urban ecology, and urban advocacy.
• Contribute to design development, research, and visualization.
• Explore how architecture translates into urban design practice, preparing you for advanced study.
• Support urban advocacy and storytelling efforts, helping communicate ideas that inspire communities and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in architecture (0-1 year experience).
• Strong interest in pursuing a masters in urban design.
• Must-have software skills: AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Proficiency in 3d modelling and rendering.
• Familiarity with other relevant design tools, software, and technologies
• Understanding of sustainable urbanism, liveable cities, and climate-resilient development is highly advantageous.
• Preference will be given to candidates that can join immediately.
