Archetype Solution Architect (ASA)

Mission Statement:

The Archetype Solution Architect is managing the technical side of the archetype in close cooperation with the Archetype Lead and the Global Business Process Owners (GBPOs).   

She/he speaks in business language for effective exchange with Archetype Lead, Global Business Process Owners and Key Users to understand the BU strategies, the underlying business challenges, and explains existing standard and custom functions. The Archetype Lead helps defining the best A to Z design options. 

The Archetype Solution Architect has good communication skills and cultural sensitivity, is able to apply it when dealing with different stakeholders both on business and technical side.   

The Archetype Solution Architect has good technical understanding of SAP in all the modules relevant to the archetype. She/he can judge technical solutions proposed by End-to-End streams and highlight the best overall solution for the archetype versus a sub-optimal End-to-End solution.  

Optionally, the Archetype Solution Architect can share the current usage of S4 and its gaps using Celonis, and helps the GBPOs understand the Celonis analysis and monitor the business improvement realization.  

The Archetype Solution Architect reports to the Global Product Manager and dotted line to the Archetype Lead.  

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage the pipeline of key user and GBPO change requests are Channel to the correct GBPOs for initial clarification, Prepare for archetype triage,  Organize and conduct the triage meetings with Archetype Lead, GBPOs, E2E Stream representatives, Identify the involved End-to-End streams, get feedback through the E2E archetype SPOCs, Support the GBPOs to write the business requirement specification (user story), Works with E2E stream archetype SPOCs to t-shirt size and prepare for TCB & Prioritize change requests with GBPOs and Archetype Lead.

• Propose improvements of the archetype process. 

• Monitors and supports implementation, test and deployment of change requests relevant to the Archetype. 

• Drive quality of Archetype training documentation and Business Process Master List (BPML). Regularly reviews with GBPOs and manages improvements.  

• Based on full understanding of overall A to Z integration across streams suggest improvements to Archetype Lead. 

• Participates in workshops and other activities to understand the BU strategy, pain points, priorities.  

• Supports GBPOs as they explains current functionality, S4 design principles, design options. 

• Explains S4 standard functionality, existing S4 custom functionality, Explains the A to Z impact of design options. Manages Archetype triage process. Explains current usage of S4 and gaps (Celonis), and how to monitor improvements if requested from GBPO or Archetype Lead.

• Is speaking partner for Product Owners and Solution Architects for technical aspects of the Archetype.

Your Background:

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

• 5 years of experience in similar position.

• SAP functional consultant experience in several modules e.g. SD, PP, MM, FI/CO, PS.

• Strong delivery focus and ability to provide leadership to ensure effective solutions that drive business values. 

• Ability to generate new ideas and challenge status quo.

• SAP Cross-functional understanding of Hitachi Energy business best practices.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
