Apps Dev Intmd Programmer Analyst - C11 - PUNE

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
• Strong functional analysis skills with around 6-8 years of work experience in technology team.
• Candidate should be able to work independently and should be self-motivated
• Candidate will be required to work with vendors and third parties to fulfil team deliveries and responsibilities.
• Analyze and understand applications onboarding requests from multiple teams/businesses and whether the requirement can be fulfilled by the recommended product.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and middleware teams in analyzing issues and translate requirements
• Engage in tracking statuses using Jira, PowerPoint, Excel
• Support internal and external system upgrades and engage in testing during the UAT phase of the rollouts till PROD
• Communicate continually with stakeholders the statuses of deliverables and flag potential risks and delays to successful completion of all projects
• Track, resolve and escalate issues in workflows, processes, vendor or own applications while keeping relevant stakeholders informed
• Communicate key insights and findings to management team. Constantly lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the end users
• Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of relevant experience
• Proven troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Must Have skills - Unix/Linux OS, Shell scripting (ksh/sh), SQL, Web server (Nginx or Apache), html, Javascript
• Good to have skills - MySQL, PHP, Java, Job scheduling - Autosys or Crontab, Jira, UI development experience
• Experience in Web Analytics tools like Google Analytics, Matomo is plus
• Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with significant impact on horizontal and business teams

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
