SRE JD Role DevOps & SRE lead Identity and eliminate toil by automating repetitive manual operations work Review existing tools, datasets and propose new practices for automation, data analysis, correlation analysis, Al and ML Skills Software Development Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Python, SQL Scripting: Strong scripting abilities in Bash, Perl, or Shell for automation tasks Version Control: Experience with Git and version control best practices API integration, OAuth and Authentication, and security skills Automation and Configuration Management CI/CD Pipelines: Expertise in designing and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLabCl/CD Configuration Management: Familiarity With tools like Ansible, puppet, or automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration Infrastructure as Code: proficiency-with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tools to manage cloud infrastructure Monitoring and Observability Monitoring Tools: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic for system and application monitoring Logging: Proficiency with log management solutions such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Splunk, or Alerting: Setting up and fine-tuning alerting mechanisms to proactively address Issues Foundational knowledge in AVM L Compute and Infrastructure Virtualization Technologies: Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM for managing virtualized environments Containerization: Experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying and managing containerized applications Hybrid Cloud Management: Knowledge on integrating on-premise data centre infrastructure with cloud platforms like AWS Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of cloud services from cloud service providers Networking: Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, switches and routers Good to Have a. Good to have knowledge on Git / CloudFormation / Docker / System Manager (AWS) - Scripting Language : Python, Lambda and additional scripting languages Ruby / PowerShell / JSON - Infrastructure exposure: Automation exposure must on at least one Public Cloud AWS / Azure and On-Premises VMware. - Domain knowledge: Must have experience on UNIX / Wintel / Database (MySQL/Oracle/MSSQL) Level 9 6 - 8 years extensive hands on experience in Infrastructure Automation leveraging: - Tool : Extensive experience on Ansible, Chef, Jenkins (good exposure to CI-CD pipeline), Git, RestAPI (DevOps tools integration with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, Monitoring tools, ELK/Splunk), Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker & System Manager (AWS) - Scripting Language : Must have Python, Lambda preferred.
