Summary: As a Splunk Administrator, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support to clients and ensuring the smooth functioning of systems and applications. Your typical day will involve utilizing your expertise in Splunk Administration to accurately define and resolve client issues. Roles & Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Splunk enterprise infrastructure across multiple environments. Design and implement Splunk data models, indexes, and dashboards to meet business requirements. Develop and optimize search queries, alerts, and reports to monitor system health, security events, and operational performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Splunk. Troubleshoot Splunk-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Manage Splunk user access, permissions, and roles to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory standards. Monitor Splunk infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability; conduct performance tuning as needed. Implement and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability solutions for Splunk deployments. Stay updated on emerging Splunk features, enhancements, and best practices; evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide training and support to users, including creating documentation and conducting knowledge sharing sessions. Provide ongoing support to clients, acting as the interface between the client and the system or application. Utilize exceptional communication skills to accurately define client issues and interpret and design resolutions based on deep product knowledge. Ensure the smooth functioning of systems and applications, utilizing your expertise in Splunk Administration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality support and solutions to clients. Professional & Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience as a Splunk Administrator, managing Splunk deployments in enterprise environments. Strong understanding of Splunk architecture, components, and configurations. Proficiency in Splunk search processing language (SPL) and developing complex search queries. Familiarity with Splunk apps, add-ons, and integrations with third-party tools. Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, including shell scripting and system administration tasks. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect) preferred. Expertise in Splunk Administration. Experience in Cloud Tech Support and Application Support. Strong understanding of system and application support, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality support and solutions to clients. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Splunk Administration. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Information Technology Operations, Computer Science, or a related field.
