Role Description


Were hiring a Application Support Lead - Data & Reporting solutions for a full-time, on-site role at our Pune office.


We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Lead to manage client interactions, application support activities including data investigation, troubleshooting regulatory reports and end to end incident management across data and reporting systems.

The role is responsible for ensuring timely response to user issues, maintaining high service levels, driving root-cause resolution for recurring issues, and producing operational dashboards and performance metrics for leadership visibility.


Key Responsibilities :

Manage client communication and serve as the primary support interface

Investigate data discrepancies and troubleshoot issues in regulatory reports

Coordinate with technical and business teams for root-cause analysis and permanent fixes

Own incident management lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation

Monitor platform performance and prepare operational insights/dashboards

Monitor application health, SLAs and KPIs; build operational dashboards & service performing reports

Ensure accurate tracking and communication of updates to internal and external stakeholders

Support regulatory change management ad release readiness activities

Familiarise and master the Smarbls proprietary Smart Reg Platform, used by banks for regulatory reporting and compliance

High customer satisfaction & strong SLA compliance

Faster resolution cycles & reduced repeat issues

Improved system reliability with measurable impact

Strong partnership with clients and engineering teams

Person Specification :

  • Experience : 5+ years in application support, preferably in BFSI Reporting functions with an excellent understanding of Service management principles
  • Technical Skills : Very good SQL (select, joins, filters) and Data analytical capability and Data management principles. Conversant with Excel (lookups, pivot tables)
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication for business stakeholder updates
  • Problem Solving : Ability to quickly diagnose issues and suggest solutions
  • Service Orientation : High responsiveness, SLA discipline, and user empathy
  • Process Management : Experience maintaining dashboards, logs, retrospectives
  • Banking Knowledge : Good understanding of banking systems, products, and reports (preferred)
  • Collaboration : Works well across cross-functional teams, including Product and Build. Maintain healthy working relationships with teams.
  • Initiative : Proactive in identifying risks, recurring issues, and process improvements
