Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of system performance and stability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end-users. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve application-related problems. - Monitor and maintain the performance and stability of critical business systems. - Provide timely and effective support to end-users, ensuring minimal disruption to their workflow. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of solutions. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Scala. - Strong understanding of software troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. - Experience in analyzing and resolving application-related issues. - Knowledge of SQL and database management systems. - Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Java or Python programming languages. - Solid grasp of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. - Experience with incident management and ticketing systems. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Scala. - This position is based at our Chennai office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
