Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and resolving any technical issues that may arise. Your expertise in IBM WebSphere MQ will be essential in troubleshooting and maintaining the application infrastructure. Join our team in Bengaluru and contribute to the success of our organization. Roles & Responsibilities: -• Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ infrastructure. • Plan, test, and implement MQ version updates as well as patching activities in the underlying operating systems. • Candidate should have Primary Skill as IBM MQ Administrator and Secondary Skills like WebSphere, WebLogic Apache, Tomcat and JBOSS including installation, configuration, security, and monitoring is preferable. • Introduce automation where possible to improve team’s efficiency (i.e., Patching automation, self-provisioning of MQ objects, etc.) • Design, implement and document each application/customer deployments. • Participate in an on-call rotation, performing troubleshooting activities and implementing necessary fixes to restore stability. Professional & Technical Skills: • Expert level knowledge in design, installation, configuration, fix pack upgrade, and administration of IBM MQ • Expert level knowledge in deploying and configuring MQ. • Good knowledge of Windows and Linux Red hat operating system. • SSL certificate management experience • Problem solving / analytical skills, tools, and techniques with experience in troubleshooting MQ issues as well as other complex MQ performance issues. • Strong communication skills. • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in IBM WebSphere MQ and IBM WebSphere Application administration • Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience in either of these technologies: Oracle WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, Biztalk, MuleSoft, Liferay Portal, Oracle Fusion, MQ Series etc. • 1 - 3 years of Operating System / knowledge of system commands and structures • Experience with prioritizing work requests Additional Information: • Good verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization. • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision.
