Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Your typical day will involve monitoring and troubleshooting system issues, providing technical support to end-users, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and performance. Roles & Responsibilities: - Monitor and troubleshoot system issues using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) to ensure system stability and performance. - Provide technical support to end-users, including issue resolution and system configuration. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve system issues, including application, network, and database teams. - Develop and maintain system documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles. - Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical business systems. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). - Good To Have Skills: Experience with other monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds. - Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management. - Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy. - Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system administration tasks. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
