Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing technical support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving software issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of system performance and stability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve software issues. - Provide technical support to end-users and ensure timely resolution of their queries. - Monitor and maintain the performance and stability of critical business systems. - Identify and analyze software defects and propose solutions for improvement. - Document and maintain accurate records of software issues and their resolutions. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance system efficiency. - Assist in the implementation of software upgrades and patches. - Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of the applications. - Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations for system enhancements. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Vmware Virtualization Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies. - Experience in managing and troubleshooting VMware virtualization environments. - Knowledge of server hardware and storage technologies. - Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols. - Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Vmware Virtualization Administration. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
