Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the applications and providing support to end-users. Your typical day will involve troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the improvement of system performance and stability. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. - Provide support to end-users and ensure the smooth functioning of applications. - Identify and solve issues within multiple components of critical business systems. - Contribute to the improvement of system performance and stability. - Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends. - Assist in the development and implementation of application support processes and procedures. Professional & Technical Skills: Should have strong OS administration skills on Linux Hands on experience on Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administration. (Version 5, 6 & 7). Experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management Volume Manager Administration Network OS / SW installation OS patching skills on Linux Strong knowledge on Redhat, Ubuntu & Debian Linux operating systems Should know how to debug/troubleshoot memory issues Must have expertise on OS internals on Linux & Unix Good knowledge about the Linux system files, boot process and Run levels Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of network hardware and peripherals General System Administration expertise Installation and configuration of Software Knowledge on Memory management for better OS and application performances Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Red Hat OS Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
