Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the applications and resolving any technical issues that may arise. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. - Monitor and maintain the performance of critical business systems. - Identify and analyze software defects and provide timely resolutions. - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. - Document and maintain technical specifications and user guides. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. - Provide technical support and guidance to end-users. - Assist in the deployment and configuration of applications. - Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and security. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL Administration, Cloud Infrastructure. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with AWS or Azure. - Strong understanding of database management systems and SQL. - Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases. - Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for databases. - Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems. - Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
