Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the applications and resolving any technical problems that may arise. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. - Monitor and maintain the performance of critical business systems. - Investigate and diagnose software defects and provide timely resolutions. - Develop and implement effective solutions to enhance application functionality. - Document and communicate technical issues and resolutions to stakeholders. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Database Administration. - Strong understanding of database management principles and best practices. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues. - Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures for databases. - Familiarity with database security and access control. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Oracle Database Administration. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Database Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required. Your typical day will involve acting as the primary point of contact, leading the effort to ensure the smooth functioning of the applications. Roles & Responsibilities:- Lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. - Ensure the smooth functioning of the applications by monitoring and maintaining the Microsoft SQL Server databases. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any database-related issues. - Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and integrity. - Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries, indexes, and other database objects. Professional & Technical Skills:- Must To Have Skills: Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Knowledge of other database technologies like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. - Experience in database backup and recovery strategies. - Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues.
