Summary: As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, and testing multiple components of application code using Google Cloud Data Services. Your typical day will involve performing maintenance, enhancements, and/or development work for one or more clients in the Custom Software Engineering job family group. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Google Cloud Data Services. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement software solutions that meet client requirements. - Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure high-quality software delivery. - Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide timely resolutions to meet client needs. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in Google Cloud Data Services and software engineering, integrating innovative approaches for sustained competitive advantage. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must Have Skills: Expertise in Google Cloud Data Services and Distributed systems. - Should have a strong exposure to big query, Composer associated services. - Should be strong exposure to GCP data processing services such as Dataflow, Data Proc and PySpark. - Good To Have: Professional Data Engineering Certification from Google Cloud Platform. - Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. - Strong Experience with Python and SQL - Experience with Terraform would be a plus. - Experience with software development tools such as Git, JIRA, or Jenkins. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Google Cloud Data Services. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful software solutions. - This position is based at our Pune office.
