Position: Manhattan Transportation Management System (TMS) Solution Architect Experience Level: 12+ years Role Overview: As a Manhattan TMS Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, efficient, and secure solutions for clients using Manhattans Transportation Management System. You will leverage your extensive experience and deep understanding of Manhattan TMS, supply chain management, and logistics to provide technical leadership and ensure that all solutions meet business needs while aligning with the organizations strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: - Solution Design and Architecture Lead the design of end-to-end transportation management solutions using Manhattan TMS, ensuring scalability, performance, and seamless integration with other systems like WMS and ERP. - Implementation Oversight: Oversee the configuration and customization of the TMS, managing all phases of the solution lifecycle, including development, deployment, and support. - Technical Leadership Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams during the implementation of Manhattan TMS, offering best practices and guidance on system optimizations. - Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define solutions, and provide technical advice that aligns with their logistics and transportation needs. - Performance Optimization Continuously monitor system performance and implement enhancements to optimize transportation routing, freight management, and carrier collaboration. - Integration Expertise: Develop and maintain integrations between TMS and other systems (e.g., ERP, WMS) using APIs, middleware, and other technologies to ensure seamless data flow across systems. - Training and Documentation: Develop documentation and provide training to both technical teams and end-users on system functionality and workflows. - Risk Management Identify risks and mitigate issues during the implementation phase, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience:12+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or transportation, with a strong focus on Manhattan TMS solution architecture and design. - Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Manhattan TMS, including carrier management, load optimization, rate management, and route planning. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in integration technologies, APIs, database management, and scripting to support Manhattan TMS configurations. - Leadership Proven experience leading cross-functional teams through complex TMS implementations, delivering projects on time and within budget. - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to stakeholders at all levels. - Problem-Solving Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of diagnosing issues and developing creative, effective solutions. - Certifications: Certifications in Manhattan TMS, supply chain, logistics, or related areas would be advantageous. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with other Manhattan products (e.g., WMS, Labor Management). - Hands-on experience with cloud-based TMS deployments. - Strong understanding of industry best practices in transportation and logistics. This role requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, industry expertise, and leadership skills to successfully drive transportation management solutions using Manhattan TMS for enterprise clients.
