Summary: As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deliver high-quality solutions. Your typical day will involve overseeing the application development process, coordinating with stakeholders, and providing technical guidance and support to the team. Roles & Responsibilities: Netscaler Configuration: Expertly configure Citrix Netscaler (Citrix ADC) virtual servers, services, and policies to optimize application delivery. Load Balancing: Implement and manage various load balancing methods, including round-robin, least connections, and weighted algorithms, to ensure even distribution of traffic. SSL/TLS Management: Install, configure, and manage SSL/TLS certificates on Netscaler appliances to secure traffic between clients and servers. Configure SSL offloading and SSL bridging as needed. High Availability (HA): Set up and maintain Netscaler high availability configurations, including synchronization of settings between primary and secondary appliances to ensure failover and redundancy. Content Switching: Configure content switching policies to direct traffic based on URL, HTTP headers, or other criteria to different backend servers or services. Application Firewall: Implement and manage Netscaler Application Firewall (WAF) policies to protect against common web vulnerabilities and attacks. Traffic Compression: Enable and configure content compression settings to reduce the size of data transmitted between clients and servers, improving performance and bandwidth usage. Caching: Configure caching policies to store frequently requested content on the Netscaler appliance, reducing load on backend servers and improving response times. DNS Configuration: Manage and configure DNS settings on the Netscaler for efficient resolution of domain names and ensure accurate traffic routing. Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB): Set up and manage GSLB configurations to distribute traffic across multiple geographically dispersed data centers for improved availability and performance. Monitoring & Logging: Utilize Netscalers built-in monitoring tools to track performance metrics and configure detailed logging to capture and analyze traffic patterns and errors. Health Checks: Configure and manage health checks to monitor the availability and performance of backend services and automatically route traffic away from unhealthy servers. Policy Creation: Develop and apply advanced traffic management policies using Netscalers policy framework, including rewriting and redirection rules. Authentication: Configure and manage user authentication methods, such as LDAP, RADIUS, and SAML, for access to applications through the Netscaler. Network Address Translation (NAT): Implement NAT policies to map public IP addresses to private IP addresses and vice versa, facilitating secure and efficient traffic routing. Bandwidth Management: Configure and manage traffic shaping and bandwidth management policies to ensure fair distribution of network resources and control traffic usage. Firmware Updates: Perform firmware upgrades and patches on Netscaler appliances while adhering to change management processes and minimizing service disruption. Troubleshooting Tools: Utilize advanced troubleshooting tools such as nslog, tcpdump, and the built-in Netscaler diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues. Integration: Integrate Netscaler with other enterprise systems and services, such as monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Grafana) and logging solutions (e.g., Splunk). Security Hardening: Implement best practices for securing the Netscaler appliance, including disabling unused services, setting strong passwords, and applying network segmentation. WeB Application Firewall. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Administration. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Strong understanding of application design and architecture principles. - Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues. - Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. - Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices for application support. -Should be able to work in 24/7 Rota -Should have a minimum experience of 60 months -Should have good communication skills -Should be ready to acquire new skills -Should be flexible during OOH. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop Administration. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full-time education is required.
