Key job responsibilities
- Provide support for incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks using established procedures and documentation
- Develop and maintain automation tools, processes within the scope of the team to improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough debugging and provide technical solutions through code modifications, configuration changes, and performance optimization with support from senior team members .
- System and Support status reporting.
- Address software and security mandates for services owned by the team to ensure optimal health of applications.
- Work with support and development team for handing
- off or taking over active support issues and creating a team specific knowledge base and skill set.
- Curiosity to learn and adapt to latest tools and technologies, including Generative AI, to enhance operational efficiency.
A day in the life
As an Application Engineer II, you'll collaborate with the team to resolve operational issues, maintain critical systems, and identify opportunities to improve existing support processes.
You'll apply your technical expertise to troubleshoot straightforward problems, while developing your mentoring and project leadership skills.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience in Unix
- Experience scripting in modern program languages
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, networks and operating systems
