About the Team and the Role

The Dashboard Software and Operations team at Ather is responsible for building the intelligent interface of our vehicles and managing the software ecosystem that powers our charging infrastructure.

This role is for an Application Developer (GoLang) who will work at the intersection of firmware and cloud, designing and developing critical software applications that ensure our charging systems and vehicle dashboards are high-performing, predictable, and future-ready.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for Ather's charging infrastructure in close collaboration with the Firmware team.

• Build Designs and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for future systems while continuously improving existing functionality.

• Coordinate with Product Managers, Cloud, and Backend teams to plan and implement new features and architectural solutions.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the Firmware team regarding cloud dependencies and integration.

• Manage release cycles for assigned modules, ensuring accurate planning and high predictability in development activities.

• Develop multi-threaded and multi-processing applications to support robust system performance.

• Implement software communication protocols such as gRPC, CAN, and I2C to facilitate seamless data exchange.

• Utilize Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Git to maintain a high standard of product development life cycle management.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Electronics, or an equivalent degree.

• 1–3 years of experience in application development (GoLang/C++).

Must Have Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Golang development for building scalable and efficient middleware applications.

• Expertise in Multi-threaded and Multi-processing application development within Linux or Android environments.

• Deep technical knowledge of Inter-Process Communication (IPC) mechanisms such as gRPC and dbus.

• Extensive experience with IoT architectures and cloud service providers, specifically Google Cloud Platform.

Good to Have Competencies

• Proficiency in Python and C++ for system-level programming and library customization.

• Familiarity with hardware communication protocols including CAN and I2C for embedded system integration.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and Static Code Analyzers to ensure high code quality.

• Knowledge of Android platform customization and experience with navigation solutions or Map service providers.
