Summary: As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that the applications are developed according to specifications and delivered on time. Your typical day will involve collaborating with the team, making team decisions, and engaging with multiple teams to contribute to key decisions. You will also provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams, ensuring smooth application development and delivery. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME - Collaborate and manage the team to perform - Responsible for team decisions - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams - Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements - Ensure that applications are developed according to specifications - Deliver applications on time - Contributes to story implementation details and design - Provides quality and in-depth code reviews of other's Pull Requests - Mentors the other intermediate engineers on good engineering practices Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Spring Boot - Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI - Hands-on implementing various machine learning algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, and clustering algorithms - Solid grasp of data munging techniques, including data cleaning, transformation, and normalization to ensure data quality and integrity - Expertise in designing RESTful APIs, OpenAPI 3.0 - Expertise in API security - authentication using OIDC flows, coarse grained authz using scopes, fine grained authz using PBAC, Oauth 2.0 for APIs - Proficiency in applying OWASP security practices - Understands firewalls/ network routing - Experience with mocking tools - Eg. Wire-mock - Expertise in git - Expert in developing Java Spring boot applications - Strong advocate of TDD (test driven development) and leads by example. - Is well-versed with the usage of UML. Is able to leverage UML drawings to explain technical concepts - Is able to collaborate with the EL and/or the solution architect on creating and reviewing architecture drawings - Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of advanced, hands-on development experience with all of the following programming capabilities, demonstrating a comprehensive ability in their deployment, monitoring, and scaling: - Apache Kafka - Microservice development by using Java 11+ and Spring Boot to create and maintain RESTful APIs. - A solid understanding of modern Java features - Docker and Kubernetes - Solid understanding and experience of AWS development and environment - RESTful apis lifecycle development - Domain modeling - Relational DB - Continuous Integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), as well as the toolsets to support both - Monitoring and logging experience - General understanding of enterprise automation techniques - Proven ability to communicate ideas and designs clearly and concisely - Proven ability to deliver high-quality work at pace - Desirable Attributes: Openshit, AWS ECS and EKS, PostgreSQL, Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Spring Boot - This position is based at our Bengaluru office - A 15 years full time education is required
