Summary: As an Application Developer for Packaged Application Development, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements using CommerceTools Commerce Platform. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing business requirements, and developing scalable solutions to meet the needs of our clients. Role Title: Technical Architect - CommerceTools Role Description: Responsibilities: 1. Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient CommerceTools solutions. 2. Architecture Planning: Design and document the architecture of CommerceTools-based applications, ensuring alignment with best practices, scalability, and maintainability. 3. Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance the CommerceTools ecosystem and address specific project requirements. 4. Integration Management: Oversee the integration of CommerceTools with other systems, such as ERP, CRM, PIM, and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability. 5. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and architectural flaws in CommerceTools implementations and propose solutions to optimize system performance and responsiveness. 6. Security Assurance: Define and implement security measures, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR). 7. Quality Assurance: Establish quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, stability, and usability of CommerceTools applications through testing, code reviews, and continuous integration. 8. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, helping them understand and adhere to architectural principles, design patterns, and coding standards. 9. Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in CommerceTools environments, collaborating with developers, system administrators, and support teams as needed. 10. Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and best practices, and conduct training sessions for internal teams and clients. Qualifications: 1. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of CommerceTools architecture, APIs, and capabilities, with hands-on experience in implementing and customizing CommerceTools solutions. 2. Software Development Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in CommerceTools development, such as Java, JavaScript, or Node.js or Springboot and familiarity with modern software development practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps). 3. Architecture and Design Experience: Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and enterprise integration techniques, with previous experience designing and implementing complex, scalable systems. 4. Integration Proficiency: Experience integrating CommerceTools with various third-party systems and services, using APIs, webhooks, message queues, and other integration mechanisms. 5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions in a timely manner. 6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and drive consensus. 7.
