Appian Tech Deployment Lead

About Role:

Tech deployment Lead is responsible for driving the end-to-end implementation of Hyperautomation solutions for F&A vertical. The candidate may come with hands-on experience in Appian or any leading BPM platform (Pega, Camunda, ServiceNow, IBM BPM, etc.) and must be capable of leading enterprise-scale deployment programs.

This role includes designing deployment strategies, leading configuration and integration planning, coordinating with business and IT stakeholders, planning user enablement, and ensuring successful go-live of Hyperautomation modules. The lead will ensure that deployment outcomes align with business objectives while delivering scalable, secure, and efficient automation capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of Hyperautomation solutions for F&A customers.
• Own deployment planning including timelines, dependencies, cutover plans, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand F&A processes and translate them into deployment-ready configurations.
• Work closely with client IT teams to define and deliver system integrations (ERP, APIs, data pipelines, authentication, etc.).
• Oversee configuration activities including workflows, rules, interfaces, data models, access controls, and environment readiness.
• Plan and execute user training, UAT coordination, and change management activities.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional deployment teamsinternal, client, and vendor.
• Monitor deployment progress, highlight risks, drive resolution, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Enforce governance, security, and compliance best practices for all product deployments.
• Support incident resolution, change requests, and production movement as part of deployment operations.
• Promote best practices, reusable components, and scalable deployment methodologies.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills

• Experience implementing hyperautomation/BPM solutions built on Appian or any major BPM platform (Pega, Camunda, ServiceNow, IBM BPM, Nintex, etc.).
• Strong understanding of workflow automation, business rules, process modeling, and BPM configurations.
• Experience leading deployments across enterprise environments with multiple systems and integrations.
• Familiarity with R2R& OTC processes such as reconciliations, journal entries, accounting close cycles, Cash applications, Deductions, Order management and financial operations.
• Strong skills in deployment management, configuration planning, and environment readiness.
• Ability to work with business and IT stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve issues.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Hyperautomation technologies like AI/ML, RPA, process mining, and OCR.
• Experience integrating BPM platforms with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Understanding of APIs, SQL, data mapping, and integration frameworks.
• Awareness of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and version control for BPM deployments.
• Knowledge of audit, data security, and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing incident triage, defect resolution, and environment support.

Additional Information

• 1015 years of total experience with at least 5+ years in BPM / Appian deployment leadership.
• Bengaluru-based role with hybrid work expectations (minimum 3 days in office).
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills are essential.
• Ability to lead multiple deployments simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
