Appian Architect/Developer

Job Overview

This new tool will allow our HR team to onboard/offboard resources which will include setting up a fresh hire, tracking their timesheet and invoices and offboarding them at the end of their contract.

Since the product is being built from a foundation of complex information technology (IT) engineering and data analytics, a robust staff and engineering support is required to operate and maintain the system.

Responsibilities

• Experience in designing, developing two or more applications using Appian
• Design, develop, test, debug, document and operationalize various applications leveraging industry best practices
• Work closely with team members and business stakeholders to drive out technical issues and model solutions that meet the functional and technical requirements
• Drive the project as the Lead Enterprise architect
• Set and monitor established coding standards, perform code reviews, and improve standards to assure compliance
• Possess strong analytical skills required to troubleshoot issues, identify resolutions and be available for off business hours implementation and support
• Mentor and coach Software Engineers and provide assistance where needed
• Performs other job duties or responsibilities, as required

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related engineering fields, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in the IT industry
• Command of the core .NET application stack and other closely related .NET technologies
• Strong exposure to relational database (SQL Server) design and SQL
• Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience as a developer in an agile environment
• Knowledge of various build automation and Continuous Integration tools
• Strong working knowledge of various data transformation/representation technologies such as XML, XSLT, JSON
• Strong working knowledge of various SharePoint Technologies
• Working knowledge of various common protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SOAP/Web services
• Strong working knowledge of JQuery, AJAX and related client side technologies
• Exposure to SSIS, SSRS and other ETL based technologies
