Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Apparel Designer located in Noida who will be responsible for conceptualising, designing, and developing clothing collections that align with the brands identity, target audience, and market trends. This role blends creativity with technical expertise to bring innovative and commercially viable designs to life.

1. Design & Concept Development

• Research market trends, forecasts, and consumer preferences
• Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, and color palettes
• Create original design sketches and collections aligned with brand aesthetics

2. Product Development

• Work closely with pattern masters and sampling teams to develop prototypes
• Select fabrics, trims, and materials ensuring quality and sustainability (if applicable)
• Oversee fittings and make necessary design modifications

3. Technical Design

• Prepare detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, and specifications
• Ensure designs are production-friendly and cost-effective
• Collaborate with production teams to maintain design integrity

4. Brand Alignment

• Ensure all designs reflect the brands vision, positioning, and customer expectations
• Maintain consistency in design language across collections

5. Trend & Market Analysis

• Stay updated with global and local fashion trends
• Analyze competitor offerings and identify gaps/opportunities

6. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work with merchandising, marketing, and production teams
• Coordinate timelines to meet launch schedules
• Support photoshoots and styling when required

7. Quality & Sustainability (if applicable)

• Ensure high standards of garment construction and finishing
• Incorporate sustainable materials and ethical practices where possible

• Strong creative and visualization skills
• Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
• Knowledge of textiles, garment construction, and fits
• Understanding of production processes
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or related field
• 25+ years of relevant experience (depending on role level)
• Experience in the specific category (e.g., babywear, womenswear, sustainable fashion, etc.)

• Timely delivery of collections
• Design innovation and originality
• Sampling success rate (first-time approval)
• Cost efficiency and production feasibility
• Market response/sales performance

Qualifications

• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of textiles, patterns, and garment construction
• Ability to conceptualize and create original apparel designs
• Should have worked in kids and womens apparel
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and market demands
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
