**Job Description: AppDynamics Administrator SME with DevOps Expertise**
**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a skilled and experienced AppDynamics Administrator SME (Subject Matter Expert) with strong proficiency in PowerShell, shell scripting, and DevOps practices, particularly with Puppet. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, configuration, and optimization of AppDynamics monitoring solutions, ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. Additionally, they will play a key role in our DevOps initiatives, leveraging PowerShell, shell scripting, and Puppet to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
**Responsibilities:**
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain AppDynamics monitoring solutions to monitor the performance and health of applications and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define monitoring strategies, and implement solutions aligned with business objectives.
Optimize AppDynamics configurations to ensure accurate performance metrics, alerts, and dashboards that meet the needs of stakeholders.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AppDynamics configurations, integrations, and performance bottlenecks.
Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, best practices, and configuration guidelines for AppDynamics and related technologies.
Drive DevOps initiatives to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using Puppet, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
Implement and maintain Puppet manifests for configuration management tasks, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reliability across environments.
Collaborate with development, operations, and QA teams to integrate monitoring and automation into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting continuous improvement and efficiency.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an AppDynamics Administrator with in-depth knowledge of deploying, configuring, and managing AppDynamics monitoring solutions.
Strong proficiency in PowerShell and shell scripting for automation, task automation, and infrastructure management.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices, particularly Puppet for configuration management and automation.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and learning.
Relevant certifications (e.g., AppDynamics Certified Implementation Professional, Puppet Certified Professional) are a plus.
