Job Description: Apigee Support

The API Developer is responsible for developing API Proxies in adherence to API Specifications and standards developed for the API Platform. They are willing to challenge designs when efficiencies or errors are found to ensure the best-delivered product, and these changes are communicated to the architecture team. They ensure proxy code is tested with pre-developed test scripts before moving forward into higher environments.

Responsibilities:

The below responsibilities are in context to Apigee:

Builds APIs and Proxies adhering to specifications and organization standards. Should understand the business value context and contribute to API specifications. Takes ownership of the product, invested in its success. Part of defining comprehensive test scripts before work begins.

Experience Required:

Experience in API Security, API Key Validation, Protection against Content-based Attacks, Authentication, Authorization and Identity, Traffic Management, Token Management

Experience in designing and implementing Restful API design patterns.

Experience in Evangelizing API adoption

Experience Scrum based delivery and DevOps

Hands on experience working on APIGEE Edge, creation and configuration of API proxies,

Experience in API implementation and life cycle management

Experience with below mentioned skill set (Preferably Junior Linux System Admin)

b) Experienced APIGEE resource

(Expectations for senior APIGEE resource is that he/she will be majorly working on APIGEE support along with other adhoc tasks.

Knowledge on any API Management Platform Preferably APIGEE

Experience on the APIGEE EDGE platform and API proxy development

APIGEE certified professional API engineer

Experience in APIGEE OPDK on-premise, debugging and troubleshooting EDGE components
