Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Apigee Lead to design, implement, and manage API solutions using Apigee Edge , Apigee X , and Apigee Hybrid platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of API management, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), microservices architecture, and strong experience in driving digital transformation through scalable and secure API strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of API solutions using Apigee Edge , Apigee Hybrid , and Apigee X .
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the API team; drive best practices for API lifecycle management, governance, and security.
• Design and implement API proxies, policies, traffic management, security (OAuth, JWT, API Key), and developer portal configurations.
• Architect hybrid and multi-cloud API management solutions leveraging GCP and Apigees advanced capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (DevOps, security, application teams) to integrate Apigee with CI/CD pipelines and other enterprise systems.
• Support migration efforts from Apigee Edge to Apigee X and/or Hybrid.
• Define and enforce API governance, logging, monitoring, and analytics standards.
• Perform platform upgrades, security patches, and ensure high availability of the Apigee infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Expertise in Apigee Edge , Apigee X , and Apigee Hybrid .
• Strong understanding of API protocols (REST, GraphQL), security standards (OAuth2, JWT), and traffic management.
• Proficient in designing and deploying APIs on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Apigee analytics, monetization, and developer portal.
• Hands-on with Apigee policy creation using JavaScript, Python, and custom callouts.
• Experience integrating Apigee with IAM solutions and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Cloud Build.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio, and service mesh (for Hybrid deployments).
• Google Cloud Certified (Professional Cloud Architect or Apigee Certification) is a plus.
