We are seeking a talented API Developer with experience in event-driven architecture and containerized cloud environments using AWS ECS and AWS Fargate to build the APIs and services that power our platform ecosystem.

Job Summary

The API Developer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs and event-driven microservices that power Transnational AIs platforms. This role focuses on building scalable API services deployed in containerized environments using AWS ECS and AWS Fargate.

The developer will work closely with AI engineers, architects, DevOps teams, and product managers to deliver secure, reliable, and highly scalable services that support distributed systems and modern cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities

API Design & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful and event-driven APIs for internal services and external integrations.
• Implement API lifecycle management, including versioning, monitoring, and governance.
• Build APIs that support high-volume distributed systems and real-time data exchange.

Event-Driven Architecture

• Develop event-driven microservices using asynchronous messaging and streaming platforms.
• Implement publish/subscribe architectures for service communication.
• Build event producers, consumers, and event processing services.
• Design systems that support asynchronous workflows and event orchestration.

Cloud-Native Microservices (AWS ECS + Fargate)

• Develop and deploy containerized APIs and microservices using Docker.
• Build services running in AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS).
• Deploy container workloads using AWS Fargate for serverless container execution.
• Optimize containerized services for scalability, resilience, and high availability.
• Work with DevOps teams to configure ECS clusters, task definitions, and container orchestration pipelines.

Platform & Partner Integrations

• Integrate APIs with AI services, partner platforms, and third-party APIs.
• Build secure B2B and B2C API integrations.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.

Performance, Security & Monitoring

• Optimize APIs for low latency and high throughput.
• Implement rate limiting, caching, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
• Ensure APIs follow security best practices and data protection standards.
• Monitor APIs using observability and monitoring tools.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Create and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure consistent API standards.
• Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs and event-driven APIs
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience working with containerized applications and Docker
• Experience deploying services using AWS ECS and AWS Fargate

Event & Messaging Platforms

Experience with messaging technologies such as:

• Apache Kafka
• AWS SNS / SQS

Programming Languages

Proficiency in one or more of the following:

• Python (FastAPI)
• TypeScript

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with ECS clusters, task definitions, and container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

Data & Integration

• Strong knowledge of JSON, REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience implementing API gateway architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI-enabled or data-intensive platforms
• Knowledge of event sourcing and CQRS patterns
• Experience with AWS API Gateway
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration frameworks
• Experience implementing secure data exchange and encryption
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
