Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the Android platform architecture including BSP and Linux Kernel layers.
• Lead kernel customization, BSP development, and Android platform evolution.
• Drive Android version migrations, kernel upgrades, and long-term platform strategy.
• Architect and review kernel subsystems, device drivers, and system-level designs.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and platform stability.
• Lead debugging, root cause analysis, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with hardware, middleware, and application teams for seamless integration.
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and design guidelines.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Participate in client discussions, architecture reviews, and technical planning.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in Embedded Systems / Android BSP / Linux Kernel.
• Deep expertise in Linux Kernel internals, subsystems, and device driver development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Android BSP, AOSP, and Embedded Linux platforms.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++ (low-level / kernel programming).
• Proven experience in kernel migration, BSP bring-up, and platform upgrades.
• Strong understanding of hardware-software interaction and system architecture design.
• Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel) and version control (Git, Gerrit).
• Strong debugging and performance optimization expertise.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Automotive Infotainment / Android Automotive OS.
• Knowledge of GKI (Generic Kernel Image), power management, and system optimization.
• Exposure to end-to-end embedded product development lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
