Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Android Developer, located in Hyderabad. The Android Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications. Daily tasks will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, creating efficient and scalable application components, testing for performance and reliability, and ensuring the optimal functionality of developed solutions. The role also involves troubleshooting, debugging, and staying updated with the latest trends in mobile app development and Android technologies.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Mobile Application Development and Mobile Applications design.
• An Android Developer with 5 years of experience specializing in Jetpack Compose requires advanced Kotlin, state management (ViewModel, Flow), and architectural proficiency (MVVM/MVI). Key skills include building modular UIs, integrating REST APIs, performance tuning, and implementing Material Design 3, targeting high-performance applications
• Strong skills in Android Design and Android Development.
• Proficiency in Software Development, including debugging and optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of best practices in user experience design and app performance improvements.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Jetpack Compose Proficiency: Advanced UI development using declarative paradigms, custom composables, animations, and efficient recomposition handling.
• Modern Android Architecture: Deep understanding of MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture to build maintainable, modular apps.
• Kotlin Expertise: High proficiency in Kotlin, including functional programming concepts and best practices.
• State Management & Coroutines: Extensive experience with Kotlin Flow, LiveData, and Coroutines for asynchronous programming and managing UI state.
• Networking: Expertise in integrating RESTful APIs using Retrofit (which acts as a wrapper) and OkHttp (the underlying HTTP client), including advanced topics like caching and error handling.
• API & Data Integration: Proven experience with REST APIs, JSON parsing, and handling offline-first approaches using Room and DataStore.

• Tooling: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Jira/Confluence.
• Understanding of version control systems like Git and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
