Role Description

Deutsche Bank Group Data Management policy requires progressive implementation of governance over the bank’s data, prioritizing Critical Data. The incumbent is required to identify KYC Critical Data Elements (CDE) and implement formal governance over the data fields in the bank applications. Field Governance is the go forward process to manage changes for the KYC Data Domain.

In this role, they will manage the governance and controls framework for the KYC CDE – build, manage and run the controls within Alteryx or any other tool/platform identified. They will also be required to work closely with Data Architects to reconciliate the controls against the bank’s data models within the data management tools used (example – Collibra). They will also work on the expansion and management of the Field Governance process, accelerate adoption, and ensure appropriate monitoring and control. Lead the team to manage the process from request, through to deployment of preventative and detective controls.

Your key responsibilities

• Validate Critical Data Element requests and support or conduct impact assessments to establish applicability of governance to the bank’s data management policy
• Analysis and delivery of requirements relating to the creation and maintenance of Detective
• and Preventative Controls
• Interpret logic for detective controls/MI to use by operational teams to track data breaks for CDE
• Technical support to build MI, Tableau dashboards, Alteryx.
• Support operations to explain MI, update, and repair MI where needed
• End to end operational management of the KYC Data Field Governance process, from inception, through impact assessment, to deployment of preventative and detective controls via JIRA, and the hand off into operations
• Look for opportunities to optimize field governance process / CDE breaks MI report.
• Any other tasks/activities pertaining to governance & controls as assigned by the function.

Your skills and experience

• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and used to working to stringent deadlines; being proactive with line management when help and guidance is required to progress.
• Strong track record of Business Analysis within Banking & Financial Services.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data, data management frameworks and MI Analysis.
• Very strong analytical capability to assess problems, identify causes, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
• Strong organizational skills: ability to identify and prioritize multiple tasks based on criticality, impact, and importance.
• Previous experience of requirements generation, triage, and delivery process
• Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.
• Strong Analytical & problem-solving skills
• Technical skills – Excel, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx and similar as required for BAU tasks.
