Job Title: Analyst – Controls Test Performance (CTP) - CBA India
Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech Park


Business & Team: We are part of the Technology CCO India Line 1 team our responsibilities include:

  • Technology Control Assurance

  • Business Control Assurance

  • Control Automation

  • Data quality

  • Providing support in risk related activities as in when required


Impact & Contribution: As part of Line 1 team, we play a vital role in managing data to prevent breaches and ensure building trust with customer. Additionally, we maintain the quality of the data in risk register by supporting the teams across technology and operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the broader team in the delivery of an effective Controls Assurance Program (CAP) across the Technology, utilizing CBA’s Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) to provide the business with an assessment and assurance over the effectiveness of the control environment supporting the business process and the technology.

  • Work closely with the Risk Management & Engagement teams and the business to ensure optimization of controls testing.

  • Perform testing of complex business and technology controls. Where weaknesses are found, you will help in root cause analysis, remediation strategies and reporting to key stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement of CAP through implementation of continuous control monitoring, automation and control rationalization.

  • Develop and enhance the reporting of control effectiveness across the Technology to provide Control owners and Service Owners with the management information required to effectively manage services.

  • Assist in the uplift and roll out the Technology CAP Assurance methodology.

  • Collaborate and work across the Line 1 Risk Community delivering appropriate risk outcomes.

  • Support Senior Manager in effective validation of design & operating effectiveness of assigned business process and technology control.

  • Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business

  • People Knowledge: Ability to work with cross functional teams present in India and Australia.


Essential Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ relevant experience in assurance role with a focus on business process, technology and automated controls

  • Experience in performing the identification, planning, testing and reporting of the following control types:
      -Business process controls
      -IT General Controls (ITGC)
      -Automated Controls
      -Key Reports Testing and

  • Ability to analyse: Assess & identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions

  • Risk Framework Knowledge: Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks would be advantageous

  • Influencing and consulting skills: the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Assurance Experience: Experience in analysing/identifying risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions


Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in risk management, finance, accounting or related field

  • CA, CISA, CISM, CRISC or other Risk related certifications would be advantageous
