Job Title: Investment Publishing – Portfolio Analysis
Location: Gurgaon, India
The Role
As an analyst in the Investment Publishing Team, the candidate will work directly with Asset Backed Finance team in New York (part of Structured Finance group of Blackstone) on diligence of potential investments and support them with the preparation of management presentations and transaction specific marketing materials. The role will position you to support throughout the stages of buy-side investments made within the group. Candidates will gain exposure to a wide range of industries and investment structures.
Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of key sectors within the portfolio, analyze a wide range of related data (both macro and micro), and conduct assessments on market, economic, and technological/automation trends to evaluate their impact on the portfolio.
- Develop concise yet comprehensive one-pagers for periodic portfolio company monitoring, encompassing aspects such as company performance and a comparative analysis of actual results versus projected outcomes with ABF Credit underwriting case.
- Proficient in handling extensive deal datasets and conducting thorough analysis.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize information to draw insights and conclusions, generating portfolio-level reports.
- Prepare presentations tailored to different portfolios for internal management on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Provide clients with regular Investor reports regarding the portfolio.
- Actively participate in strategic initiatives related to portfolio management, monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Creating or updating presentations to reflect the performance of current deals
- Serve as a critical project manager for the execution of the long-term projects, take ownership of projects by delivering quality output within timelines
- Effectively and clearly communicate key insights in compelling, actionable and engaging ways
- Demonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Qualification and Skills –
Professional Degree in finance with 0-5 years of relevant experience and familiarity with buy-side investment management workflows
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools with excellent presentation skills using Power point, excel and power BI
- Exposure of using financial databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with outstanding presentation skills
- Ability to operate across multiple projects and work in a challenging environment.
