Established in 2020, MUFG Global Service Private Limited (MGS) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MGS India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. MGS India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFGs global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Position Title: Analyst Global KYC Planning
Corporate Title: Senior Analyst
Reporting to: AVP Global KYC Planning
Location: Bengaluru
Position Summary:
The Analyst in the Planning Department will support the AVP in driving MUFGs Global KYC Operations transformation agenda. The role contributes to the design and implementation of the Target Operating Model, global process standardization, system enhancement projects, and APAC- wide consolidation initiatives. The position requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to support complex global projects that enhance efficiency, control, and quality across KYC Operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Support:
- Assist the AVP in planning and executing major global KYC initiatives, including:
- Target Operating Model (TOM) implementation
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR)
- Standardization and optimization of KYC workflows
- KYC system architecture enhancement
- Coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Governance:
- Work closely with regional and global stakeholders to gather requirements, align expectations, and support decision-making.
- Facilitate consensus across diverse teams by proposing practical, win-win solutions to resolve differing viewpoints.
- Maintain project governance standards and ensure documentation complies with global audit expectations.
Monitoring, Reporting & Issue Escalation:
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and supervisors.
- Identify issues and escalate promptly with proposed solutions or mitigation actions.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and communication packs for senior management.
Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct business analysis at MUFG branches across global locations to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or operational risks.
- Support the development of improved operating frameworks to enhance productivity, accuracy, and control.
- Work with process owners and technology teams to ensure effective system utilization in daily KYC operations.
- APAC Operational Consolidation Support:
- Contribute to strategic planning for operational consolidation across APAC.
- Assist in driving implementation of consolidation initiatives across regional offices.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure smooth execution of integration plans.
- Track progress and help resolve operational challenges during rollout phases.
- Support reporting of outcomes, challenges, and benefits to senior management.
Job Requirements:
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Strong understanding of KYC requirements, systems, and operations aligned to global regulatory standards.
- Ability to analyze complex operational data and apply insights to project planning and decision-making.
- Basic to intermediate project management capability, including progress tracking and risk escalation.
- Experience in operational system design, enhancement, or implementation (preferred).
Experience:
- 57+ years with minimum 1-2+ years of experience in KYC operations, transformation projects, or related process improvement roles.
- Exposure to global or offshore KYC processes is an advantage.
- Experience collaborating with overseas offices or supporting regional/global initiatives is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and willing to take on new responsibilities.
- Strong problem-solving and consensus-building abilities.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other project-management tools.
Education
- Bachelors degree or higher in business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline.
