Analyst – Investments (Private Credit & DCM)

Role Overview

We are looking to hire a high-calibre Analyst to join our investments team in Gurgaon. The role offers hands-on exposure to late-stage private credit, structured financing, and debt capital markets transactions, with direct involvement across origination, diligence, execution, syndication, and portfolio management.

The Analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals on complex, sponsor-backed transactions and develop strong credit judgement, technical depth, and execution capability early in their career.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Origination & Deal Screening

• Support sourcing and evaluation of late-stage, sponsor-backed investment opportunities across private credit and structured debt
• Track deal flow from PE funds, venture capital firms, bankers, founders, and intermediaries
• Assist in evaluating DCM-linked opportunities and large-ticket financing transactions
• Conduct sector, sponsor, and borrower mapping to identify repeatable themes and opportunities

1. Due Diligence & Deal Execution

• Perform detailed credit analysis, including business risk assessment, cash-flow sustainability, and downside scenarios
• Build and review complex financial models covering capital structures, repayment profiles, stress cases, and recovery analysis
• Support structuring of transactions across senior secured, mezzanine, structured equity, and hybrid instruments
• Assist in drafting investment memoranda and materials for Investment Committee discussions
• Coordinate with legal, tax, and external advisors during documentation and closing

3) Syndication & Debt Capital Markets

• Support structuring and syndication of debt transactions, including preparation of information memoranda, lender models, and data rooms
• Assist in identifying and engaging potential syndication partners and co-lenders across banks, credit funds, NBFCs, and institutional investors
• Track investor feedback, pricing dynamics, and allocation outcomes across syndicated transactions

4) Portfolio Monitoring & Asset Management

• Monitor portfolio companies financial performance, covenant compliance, and market developments
• Support early-warning analysis, waivers, amendments, and restructuring discussions where required
• Prepare periodic portfolio updates and performance dashboards

5) Investor & Platform Support

• Assist senior team members with investor reporting, co-investment materials, and ad-hoc analyses
• Contribute to internal initiatives to strengthen Strides private credit platform

Qualifications & Experience

• 13 years of relevant experience in private credit, DCM, leveraged finance, structured finance, investment banking, PE, or credit-focused roles
• Strong grounding in financial modelling, credit analysis, and investment appraisal
• Exposure to late-stage, sponsor-backed, or structured transactions preferred
• Working knowledge of debt documentation, covenants, and capital structures
