Job Description

Market Analyst FMCG, Retail & Consumer Analyst


Core Responsibilities:


Market Research & Analysis:

  • Track consumer trends, competitive landscape, pricing, and new product launches.
  • Analyze industry growth, demand patterns, and macroeconomic impacts.

Financial Analysis:

  • Review company financials, profit margins, cost structures, and sales performance.
  • Build models (DCF, comparable analysis, revenue forecasts) to evaluate business performance.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and investment or strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate findings to clients, senior management, or investors.

Strategic Support:

  • Assist in M&A, market entry, or brand strategy projects.
  • Provide competitive intelligence for decision-making.


Job Requirements:


  • CA (1st attempt)/MBA Finance from Tier 1 college
  • 5-8 years of experience in similar sector
  • Strong analytical skills : Excel, PowerPoint, data modeling.
  • Market knowledge : FMCG, retail, e-commerce, lifestyle sectors.
  • Financial literacy : Understanding of P&L, balance sheets, KPIs.
  • Research abilities : Primary and secondary market research.
  • Communication skills : Reports, client presentations, executive summaries.
