Job Description
Market Analyst FMCG, Retail & Consumer Analyst
Core Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
- Track consumer trends, competitive landscape, pricing, and new product launches.
- Analyze industry growth, demand patterns, and macroeconomic impacts.
Financial Analysis:
- Review company financials, profit margins, cost structures, and sales performance.
- Build models (DCF, comparable analysis, revenue forecasts) to evaluate business performance.
Reporting & Insights:
- Prepare reports, presentations, and investment or strategic recommendations.
- Communicate findings to clients, senior management, or investors.
Strategic Support:
- Assist in M&A, market entry, or brand strategy projects.
- Provide competitive intelligence for decision-making.
Job Requirements:
- CA (1st attempt)/MBA Finance from Tier 1 college
- 5-8 years of experience in similar sector
- Strong analytical skills : Excel, PowerPoint, data modeling.
- Market knowledge : FMCG, retail, e-commerce, lifestyle sectors.
- Financial literacy : Understanding of P&L, balance sheets, KPIs.
- Research abilities : Primary and secondary market research.
- Communication skills : Reports, client presentations, executive summaries.
