Responsibilities & Competencies

1. Sound knowledge of furnaces like CGC, SQF, Vacuum & Induction hardening machines with process Design/ Controls.
2. Emergency handling like power cut, gas cut, gas leakage, high understanding of safety etc.
3. Knowledge of gasses used in HT for different processes.
4. Sound knowledge of various heat treatment processes like Case, induction, vacuum hardening, carbonitriding etc.
5. Sound knowledge/ hands on experience of metallurgical lab related activities. Must be familiar with QMS, EMS, CQI 9, various national/ International standards.
6. Metallurgical Failure analysis of all customer issues (In-house, User plant, Field)
7. Product knowledge on Transmission & Axle gears
8. Achieve optimum capacity utilization with minimum downtime and maximum delivery
9. Ensure compliance to system and process, through various audits
10. Institutionalize PDCA cycle with modern techniques like TPM, MOST, APQP, IMCR for cost reduction of the product leading to improvement in PQCDSM
