Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

10-12 years of total IT experience, with at least 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Alation implementation.

Proficiency in configuring:

Metadata Ingestion & Management

Data quality

Data Catalog

Lineage

Data Security & Privacy

Data Marketplace

Hands-on experience with APIs and integration points.

Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and stewardship workflows.

Strong skills in scripting or coding (Python, Shell) for data transformation are a plus.

Certifications in Alation Data Catalog

Preferred Skills

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data lake environments.

Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Security teams to align tools and standards with data policies and regulatory needs (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)

Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.________________________________________

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote team setup.

Strong team player with a proactive mindset.
