Role: Alation Senior Developer
Must-Have:
- 10-12 years of total IT experience, with at least 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Alation implementation.
- Proficiency in configuring:
- Metadata Ingestion & Management
- Data quality
- Data Catalog
- Lineage
- Data Security & Privacy
- Data Marketplace
- Hands-on experience with APIs and integration points.
- Familiarity with data governance , data quality , and stewardship workflows .
- Strong skills in scripting or coding (Python, Shell) for data transformation are a plus.
- Certifications in Alation Data Catalog
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and data lake environments.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Security teams to align tools and standards with data policies and regulatory needs (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA )
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools like JIRA and Confluence
