Alation Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Professional to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable solutions on Alations data platform. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build products that help customers manage and derive insights from their data more effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Architect and develop high-quality software solutions for Alations data platform using technologies like Python, Java, and SQL.
• Collaboration: Work with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand customer needs and deliver features and functionalities that improve data governance, discovery, and usage.
• Quality Assurance: Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to ensure high standards of software quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data management and contribute to the evolution of the platform.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Strong experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern data technologies.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks is a plus.
