Job Title: AIX Admin

Experience: 10 to 15 Years

Location: Bangalore

1. Excellent knowledge of AIX
2. Troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis of issues on major AIX flavors
3. Solid understanding of fundamental technologies like TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NFS
4. Experience in Remote server management tools
5. Good exposure on scripting knowledge (shell and Perl)
6. Strong knowledge on user management and server administration
7. Operating Systems (OS) installation, systems management, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and version upgrades on AIX
8. Support for application servers and services to include installation and troubleshooting software on server platforms, ensuring compliance with current licensing
9. Assist in the setting of system standards for base implementation (including limit values, volume and file system management, service configurations, etc.)
10. Utilizing strong scripting capabilities to automate base system administration tasks
11. Create and Configure VIO, NIM servers for LPAR management also assist with Half yearly/yearly server patching activity
12. Sound knowledge on HMC
13. Thorough understanding of the following technologies as they apply to Systems Administration and architecture: software and hardware load-balancing, clusters, RAID and Server architecture
14. Web application deployment, tuning, and support (Apache, http, Mysql)
15. Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency
16. Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. - include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
