We are looking for an exceptional AI Workflow Engineer to design, build, and scale Kroolos AI-native workflow orchestration engine.

You will work at the intersection of:

• AI agents
• Workflow orchestration
• Distributed systems
• Enterprise integrations
• Automation infrastructure

You will help build the core execution layer that enables AI agents to autonomously plan, execute, and optimize workflows across enterprise systems.

This is a foundational role with massive ownership and impact.

Build Native AI Workflow Engine

• Design and implement scalable workflow orchestration systems
• Build workflow execution pipelines with support for:
• Conditional logic
• Parallel execution
• Retries and fault tolerance
• Event-driven triggers
• Develop workflow DAG execution engine

Build Workflow Infrastructure

• Enable AI agents to execute workflows autonomously
• Integrate LLMs into workflow decision-making
• Build agent planning, execution, and tool invocation pipelines
• Implement memory, context management, and tool orchestration

Build Execution Layer

• Implement distributed task queues and execution systems
• Build async job processing infrastructure
• Design reliable, scalable execution systems using queues and workers
• Ensure high reliability, observability, and fault tolerance

Build Enterprise Integrations

• Build workflow connectors for systems like:
• Jira
• Slack
• Salesforce
• Google Workspace
• Microsoft 365
• ServiceNow
• GitHub / GitLab
• Implement trigger-based and event-based workflow

Creation and launch

• Power Kroolos visual workflow builder
• Design backend infrastructure for:
• Workflow creation
• Execution
• State management
• Versioning

• 2-3 years of backend or distributed systems engineering experience
• Strong experience with:
• Node.js, Python, or Go
• Distributed systems

• Queue-based architectures

Experience with workflow engines OR similar systems:

• Temporal
• Airflow
• Prefect
• LangGraph
• Or similar orchestration frameworks
• Strong system design skills

Strong Plus:

• AI agents or LLM integrations
• Building automation platforms
• Workflow orchestration engines
• LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI
• Building SaaS platforms

Exceptional Plus, have done before
