We build production-grade AI systems that ingest messy real-world data, enrich it using AI agents, and deliver explainable, auditable buyer intelligence that customers trust and act on.

AI architecture and data design are core to the product not support functions.

Role Overview

We are hiring an AI Systems Architect who can join either as a consultant or full-time , with flexibility to start in a consulting capacity and transition into a full-time role based on delivery and fit.

This role is for someone who designs and builds real AI systems not demos or experiments. You will work closely with the founder and engineering team to own the architecture behind CPGBuyerAIs AI agents, data pipelines, and production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

AI Systems & Architecture

• Design the end-to-end AI systems architecture (agents, pipelines, APIs, storage)
• Architect multi-agent workflows (buyer matching, QA, enrichment, outreach, signals)
• Decide when to use rules, LLMs, embeddings, or traditional ML
• Design guardrails, retries, fallbacks, and quality checks for AI outputs

Data & AI Infrastructure

• Design AI-ready data storage (raw data, canonical entities, AI outputs, events)
• Implement AI output versioning with full auditability
• Work with Postgres, object storage, vector databases, and caching layers
• Ensure explainability and traceability of AI decisions

Production & Scaling

• Move AI workflows from works to reliable
• Optimize cost, latency, and accuracy for LLM usage
• Design batch vs real-time processing flows
• Monitor AI performance, failures, and data quality

Engineering & Collaboration

• Write production-quality backend code (Python / TypeScript preferred)
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams
• Guide architectural standards and implementation decisions

What Were Looking For

Must-Have

• 2 Years Experience building production AI systems (not research-only)
• Strong systems and architectural thinking
• Hands-on backend engineering capability
• Experience with multi-agent or complex AI workflows
• Ownership mindset and clear communication

Good to Have

• Cloud experience (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings
• Experience with SaaS or data-heavy platforms
