Role Overview

AI Automation Labs is building AI-native SaaS products and intelligent automation systems.

We are hiring an AI Systems Architect who can independently design, build, and scale AI-powered infrastructure from scratch. This role goes beyond workflow automation you will architect production-ready AI systems including:

• AI agents and orchestration frameworks
• RAG pipelines with vector databases
• Backend systems in Node.js or Python
• Multi-agent architectures
• DevOps and deployment pipelines
• Internal AI tools and dashboards

You will have architectural ownership and technical decision-making authority.

Core Mission

Design and build scalable AI SaaS infrastructure that enables:

• Multi-tenant AI agent deployments
• RAG-based knowledge systems
• Intelligent workflow engines
• Client-facing AI platforms
• Internal AI productivity systems

Key Responsibilities

1. AI Architecture & System Design

• Design scalable AI SaaS architecture from scratch
• Select and justify cloud, backend, and AI stack
• Define modular, extensible system design

2. AI Agents & Multi-Agent Systems

• Build orchestration systems for multi-agent collaboration
• Implement memory layers and state handling
• Design prompt frameworks and reasoning pipelines
• Build agent-to-agent communication models

3. RAG & Knowledge Systems

• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipelines
• Work with vector databases such as:
• Pinecone
• Weaviate
• Supabase Vector
• Optimize chunking, embeddings, retrieval logic
• Implement hybrid search strategies

4. Backend Engineering

• Develop backend systems in Node.js or Python
• Build API layers for AI services
• Implement authentication and multi-tenant architecture
• Handle database schema and system scaling

5. DevOps & Infrastructure

• Containerize systems using Docker
• Set up CI/CD pipelines
• Configure staging and production environments
• Implement logging, monitoring, and observability
• Ensure reliability and cost optimization

6. Model Strategy & Fine-Tuning

• Work with API models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.)
• Evaluate open-source LLM deployment when required
• Implement fine-tuning and model optimization
• Optimize latency, token usage, and cost efficiency
• Leverage advanced AI development tools including Claude Code for structured system design, architecture planning, and AI-assisted code generation

7. Internal Tooling

• Build internal dashboards for:
• Agent monitoring
• Client configuration
• Performance analytics
• Create reusable internal AI frameworks

Required Technical Skills

• Strong backend development experience (Node.js or Python)
• Experience building production AI systems
• Hands-on experience working with Claude Code in real development workflows
• Deep understanding of LLM APIs and prompt engineering
• Experience building RAG pipelines
• Experience with vector databases
• Strong API design and system architecture skills
• Experience with Docker and deployment pipelines
• Ability to independently architect systems from zero

Preferred Skills

• Experience building AI SaaS products
• Multi-agent orchestration frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, custom)
• Knowledge of distributed systems
• Experience optimizing LLM performance and cost
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
