AI Prompt Engineer – Concept Art & Digital Matte Painting

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative and technically skilledAI Prompt Engineer to specialize in developing concept art and digital matte paintings. This role requires expertise in crafting effective AI prompts to generate high-quality visual outputs, combined with a solid understanding of digital painting and compositing workflows. The candidate will collaborate with artists, designers, and technical teams to push the boundaries of AI-assisted creativity.

Key Responsibilities

• AI Prompt Engineering
• Design, refine, and optimize prompts to generate concept art using AI tools.
• Experiment with styles, moods, and compositions to achieve desired artistic
• outcomes.
• Document prompt strategies and maintain a library of reusable creative prompts.

• Concept Art Development
• Generate visual ideas for environments, characters, and props using AI-assisted
• workflows.
• Collaborate with creative directors to align outputs with project vision.
• Provide quick iterations and variations to support pre-production and ideation
• phases.

• Digital Matte Painting
• Apply basic matte painting techniques to enhance AI-generated outputs.
• Integrate AI visuals into production-ready assets using Photoshop or similar
• tools.
• Ensure seamless blending of AI-generated elements with traditional digital art.

• Collaboration & Workflow
• Work closely with art directors, VFX supervisors, and production teams.
• Provide feedback on AI-generated visuals and refine outputs for cinematic
• quality.
• Stay updated on emerging AI art tools and digital painting techniques.

• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong knowledge ofAI art generation tools (e.g., MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, DALLE, or proprietary platforms).
• Proficiency inPhotoshop, or similar digital painting/compositing software .
• Understanding ofmatte painting fundamentals : perspective, lighting, and photorealistic blending.
• Ability to craftprecise and creative AI prompts for consistent results.
• Strong artistic eye for composition, color theory, and cinematic aesthetics.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Preferred Experience
• Prior work inconcept art, matte painting, or VFX production pipelines .
• Familiarity withprocedural generation and AI-assisted workflows .
• Experience collaborating with creative teams in film, gaming, or animation industries.
