Were excited to share an opportunity for a Founding Engineer (Leadership Role) with one of our startup clients preparing to launch an innovative data product in India.

Were looking for an AI founding engineer (12+Yrs Experience) who has already shipped a 01 data/AI working product in 46 months and can own both architecture and execution.

Product delivery

- Led the delivery of a SaaS / data / AI product from concept to live customers within **46 months**.

- Has taken at least one product through the full lifecycle: discovery MVP iteration based on user feedback.

- Leadership

- Acted as tech lead / founding engineer / principal engineer on a small crossfunctional team (25 engineers).

- Comfortable coordinating with nontechnical stakeholders (founders, customers, partners).

Core technical knowhow

Data management & integration (critical for this role)

- Data verification

- Knows how to turn messy, fragmented data into verified intelligence by crosschecking different sources.

- Data modelling and storage

- Strong SQL and datamodelling skills; can design schemas/ontologies for operational, timeseries, and spatial data (blocks, workers, harvest events, inputs, etc.).

Backend / platform engineering

- Solid experience with at least one modern backend stack (e.g. Node/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI, Java/Kotlin) for building APIs and services.

- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable APIs for internal and external consumers.

- Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and basic DevOps (CI/CD, monitoring, logging).

AI / ML and analytics

- Practical experience training and deploying ML models (tabular, timeseries, and ideally some computer vision).

- Comfortable using modern ML/AI tooling (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, scikitlearn, LLM APIs) to solve real business problems, not just research.

- Knows how to integrate AI into products (recommendation engines, copilots, scoring models) rather than building isolated models.
