AI/ML Engineer with ROS

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AI/ML Engineer with hands-on experience in Robotics and ROS (Robot Operating System) to design, develop, and deploy intelligent robotic systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with robotics, perception, and software teams to build scalable AI-driven solutions for real-world robotic applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI/ML models for robotics use cases such as perception, navigation, localization, and decision-making
• Develop and integrate algorithms using ROS / ROS2 for robotic systems
• Work on sensor data processing (camera, LiDAR, IMU, depth sensors)
• Implement computer vision, SLAM, object detection, and tracking solutions
• Deploy and test AI models on real robots and simulators (Gazebo / RViz)
• Optimize models for real-time performance and edge deployment
• Collaborate with hardware, robotics, and DevOps teams for system integration
• Perform data collection, annotation, training, evaluation, and model tuning
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code following best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI / Machine Learning / Robotics
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS2
• Experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks
• Knowledge of robot kinematics, perception, and control systems
• Experience working with robot sensors (camera, LiDAR, IMU, depth)
• Familiarity with Linux / Ubuntu environments
• Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo, RViz

Good to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or Reinforcement Learning
• Knowledge of SLAM, Navigation Stack, MoveIt
• Experience deploying models on edge devices (Jetson, Raspberry Pi, embedded systems)
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience in autonomous robots, drones, AMRs, or industrial robotics
