🚀 AI / ML Engineer – Applied AI & Intelligent Systems

We are a product engineering and advanced technology company building scalable platforms across healthcare, publishing, enterprise SaaS, and AI-assisted systems.

Our engineering team is intentionally small and highly technical (89 members), allowing engineers to work directly on architecture, product innovation, and emerging technologies like AI-assisted development, automation, and intelligent systems.

We are currently expanding our capabilities in Applied AI, LLM integrations, and intelligent automation.

We are looking for a Lead AI / ML Engineer who can design and implement production-grade AI systems and also lead a small team of 34 AI engineers or developers.

This role combines AI engineering, MLOps, system architecture, and leadership.

You will help build AI infrastructure, model pipelines, intelligent automation systems, and LLM-based applications that integrate directly into our products.

Design and deploy production-grade AI/ML systems

Lead and mentor a team of 34 junior AI/ML engineers

Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, and monitoring

Implement LLM-based systems, RAG architectures, and intelligent automation workflows

Design AI architecture for scalable applications

Collaborate with full-stack engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into products

Ensure best practices for model performance, monitoring, and scalability

• Python (Strong)
• API development
• Backend system integration

• Machine Learning fundamentals
• LLM integration and prompt engineering
• NLP / intelligent automation systems
• Recommendation engines or prediction systems

Experience with:

• ML pipelines and model lifecycle management
• Model deployment and monitoring
• Experiment tracking and versioning
• CI/CD for ML systems

Tools may include:

• MLflow
• Kubeflow
• Airflow
• Docker / Kubernetes

Experience with one or more:

• LangChain
• LlamaIndex
• HuggingFace
• Open-source LLM frameworks

• Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, FAISS)
• PostgreSQL / MongoDB
• Data pipelines
  

Experience managing 35 engineers or developers

Ability to guide junior engineers and review AI/ML code

Strong system architecture thinking

Comfortable working in startup-style environments with high ownership

3 5+ years software / AI engineering experience

2+ years leading AI/ML initiatives or teams

Experience deploying AI models in production systems

In this role you will:

Build AI systems used in real products

Lead the development of our AI engineering capability

Work directly with founders on AI strategy and architecture

Build systems using LLMs, automation, and intelligent pipelines

Work in a small, highly technical engineering environment
